Our governments did a great job back then at fooling everyone into thinking that these measures would save them if followed. Now we know it was all b.s. and that measures taken for a tornado are not the same as for a nuclear war. This is why you don't even see shelters anymore. They know we are all dead. The survivors will be Govt leaders and that is all. You know, the people that started it all to begin with. That way they can guarantee there will be a WWIV even if it will be fought with radioactive sticks and bones.
